A floating palace situated in the center of Lake Pichola is one of the most beautiful and sought after palaces in the world. Lake Palace, an elegant fantasy in white marble was created for the royal family to spend their time during hot and scorchy summer. The turquoise waters of the Pichola Lake with its rippling waves creates pleasant and romantic atmosphere for the visitors.

Lake Palace Hotel
The 17th century summer Palace is now a property of Taj group and known as the Taj Lake Palace Hotel. It is a three storeyed building empurpled in yellow stones and marble slabs with beautifully crafted white marbles on its exterior. The rooms and suites of the hotel are based on particular theme and decorated with textiles and handicrafts of the region. There are around 83 rooms with17 beautiful suites and 53 Deluxe rooms, attached by world class services and facilities.

Lake Pichola
This is one of the largest and the most beautiful lakes of Udaipur overlooked by Aravali range while palaces, mansions, bathing ghats, gardens and temples dot its banks.

Jagdish Temple
Built by Maharana Jagat Singh in 1651 and easily accessible from the Palace gate. The temple is famous for its impressive and beautifully proportioned structure, covered with carved friezes and heavily decorated inside.

Bharatiya Lok Kala Museum: It showcases Rajasthan's best and interesting collection of folk art - costumes, paintings, folk deities, musical instruments, masks, dolls and weapons. The puppet collection is particularly fascinating and world famous.

Other Attractions
City Palace of Udaipur and Lake Palace Hotel Jag Mandir : Built by Maharaja Karan Singh in 1615 A.D, Jag Mandir is situated on Lake Pichola that adorns a giant stone sculpture of elephants and an impressive "Chattri" on top of the temple.

Saheliyon-Ki- Bari : Built in early 18th century AD, Saheliyon- Ki- Bari was a perfect place for the royal ladies to spend their free time. It is a famous garden that comprises of lotus pool, fountains (in the shape of birds), lush green lawns, flowerbeds, and marble pavilions, offering a breathtaking view to visitors.

Jagdish Temple : Created in 1651 AD by Maharana Jagat Singh, Jagdish Temple is the largest and the most beautiful temple in Udaipur. The temple is dedicated to lord Vishnu and decorated with beautiful sculpted images and towering Shikara.

How to get there
Air : Maharana Pratap Airport at Udaipur is the nearest one and situated at a distance of 26 km from the Lake Palace.

Rail : Udaipur railway station is located at a distance of 4 km from the Lake palace. Palace On Wheels and Royal Orient express are the best tourist trains, apart from these there are Shatabdi Express, Rajhdhani Express and Konkan Express available through out the year.

Road : Rajasthan State Transport runs their Deluxe and Semi-Deluxe buses and connects to major parts of India.
