Day 1. DELHI
/ BAGDOGRA / PEMAYANGTSE
Transfer to airport to board morning flight to
Bagdogra.Transfer to Pemayangtse (145 kms /5 hrs).
Drive along the Teesta river into Rangit valley
stopping briefly at Joremang for refreshments.
On arrival check into hotel Mount Pandim View.
Overnight Pemayangtse.
Day 2. PEMAYANGTSE / KHECHOPALRI
/ PEMAYANGTSE (29 kms):
After an early breakfast, a short walk to The
Sangachholing Monastery. Built in the 17th century,
this spot commands a breathtaking view of the
hills, valleys and villages of West Sikkim. On
return, drive to Khechopalri lake. This unusually
calm lake, located in the midst of a dense forest
is considered very sacred. After lunch near the
lake, drive back to Pemayangtse. Overnight at
hotel.
Day 3. PEMAYANGTSE / GANGTOK (2
hrs)
The morning view of the mountain peaks is breathtaking.
The prominent peaks visible are Rohtang, Kabru,
Kabru Dome, Talung, Kanchenjunga and Pandim. After
breakfast, drive to the tea plantations of Temi
Tarku where tea pluckers, often women, are at
work. Picnic lunch at the tea gardens. Continue
drive to Gangtok arrive late evening .Check into
hotel.
Day 4. GANGTOK
Morning visit the Rumtek Dharma centre, located
on ahilltop opposite Gangtok. The monastery is
a veritable treasure of some of the most unique
Buddhist religious art objects in the world. Later,
drive to Gangtok. En-route visit the Do-drul Chorten
and The Research lnstitute of Tibetology. On arrival,
check into the hotel. Afternoon, visit the Cottage
Industries and the Enchey Monastery. Overnight
Gangtok.
Day 5.
Local walks to view Rhododendrons and the quaint
bazaar. Evening at leisure. Overnight Gangtok.
Day 6. GANGTOK / DARJEELING (3
hrs)
Drive to Darjeeling driving past scenic tea gardens
arriving by lunch. Check into hotel. Evening at
leisure at this beautiful hill station the Queen
of the East, Overnight Darjeeling.
Day 7. IN DARJEELING
Morning tour of the Tiger hill to view Kunchenjunga
at sunrise. Later visit the Ghoom monastery with
a train ride on the interesting mountain rail.
Overnight Darjeeling.
Day 8.
Transfer to Bagdogra to board afternoon flight
to Delhi.
