Nature and wildlife have formed
an integral part of the Indian consciousness.
Animals are a critical part of India's myths,
legend and religious belief. The best way to
explore and experience the majestic Himalayan
foothills is undoubtedly on foot or on elephant.
This stretch features fascinating deciduous
forests and the Savannah vegetation of tall
grassy meadows and marshes, across gushing streams
and mountain villages. The avifauna here is
wide - ranging and varied and so are the inhabitants
of these great forests. The accompanying Jeep
and the tended camps give you the flexibility
to choose your transportation mode. An odyssey
in itself, this simple yet intense experience
combines an undisturbed sojourn in picture-postcard
countryside.
