Himachal or Kashmir. Auli in the Garhwal Himalayas
is a major skiing resort overlooking the towering
Himalayan peaks of Nanda Devi, Mana Parbat,
Kamet etc. and is outlined by wild, lush green
forests. Manali and Solang
in Himachal offer natural and beautiful slopes
and so does
Narkanda, a short drive from Shimla. Heli-skiing
is now operational in Solang valley and offers
equipment and facilities of international standards.
Skiing can be effectively combined with a short
trek, a mountain retreat or a Jeep safari.
