Mormugao Harbour: It is 34 Kms. from Panaji and 4 Kms. from Vasco-da-Gama.

Panaji : The capital of Goa and headquarters of North Goa District.

Mapusa : It is 13 Kms. from Panaji.

Margao : It is 33 Kms. from Panaji. Pilar: It is 11 kms. from Panaji. It has important religious and educational centre of Christian Missionaries.

Vasco-da-Gama : It is 30 kms. from Panaji.

Goa Beaches

Agonda Beach: It's long and lonely, fringed with palms and casuarinas and dominated by a large hill to the south.

Vagator Beach: This beautiful beach is located about 22 Kms from Panaji and is situated in Bardez taluka.

 

Miramar Beach: This beautiful beach is located about 3kms from Panaji.

Colva Beach: This is the most important beach in the south circuit equipped with all modern amenities. Anjuna Beach: Anjuna, 18 kms from Panaji is a popular beach area adjacent to Chapora fort.

Calangute Beach: Excellent accommodation facilities are available, particularly at the tourist resort and cottages. Dona Paula Beach: 7 kms from Panaji. An idyllic picturesque spot.

Arambol Beach: Arambol is along the Goa border with its fresh water lagoon.

Palolem Beach: Palolem is Goa's one of the most beautiful and idyllic beach and it has 1.5 km crescent shaped beach.

How to Reach Goa

By Air: Goa is well connected by airline services to most major cities in India. All flights, national and international, to and from Goa, operate from the Goa Airport at Dabolim near the port town of Vasco-da-Gama.

By Ral: Goa is connected with Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Secunderabad, Tirupati via Londa junction on the Mirage-Bangalore sector of south central railway, and to Mumbai, and Mangalore on the Konkan Railway Corporation section. Convenient stations are Margao/Vasco and Karmali.

By Road: Panaji, the capital of Goa, is connected by road to Bangalore-598 kms, Belgaum-157 km, Bombay-594 km, Gokarn-154 km, Hospet-315 km, Hubli-184 km, Karwar-103 km, Kolhapur-246 km, Malwan-150 km, Mangalore-371 kms, Mysore-696 kms, Pune-458 kms, Ratnagiri-263 kms, Vengurla-73 kms etc.

Bus Service: Kadamba Transport Corporation. MSRTC and KSRTC operate frequent bus services between Panaji, Vasco, Margao and to Bangalore, Belgaum, Gokarn, Hubli, Karwar, Kolhapur, Malwan, Mangalore, Miraj, Mysore, Pune, Ratnagiri and Vengurla.
