Destinations: Delhi-Amarkantak -Dindori-Kanha
National Park-Mandla-Jabalpur-Indore-Dhar-Mandu-Jhabua-Indore
Day 01:
New Delhi On arrival at the airport
you will be received and transferred to
hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 02: Train Journey
You will be transferred to the railway station
to board the train for Amarkantak. Overnight
train journey.
Day 03: Amarkantak On
arrival at Amarkantak you will be received
and transferred to your hotel. Move out
to see the origin of river Narmada.
Day 04: Amarkantak-Dindori-Amarkantak
Drive straight to Dindori- a village with
exclusive Gound tribes. This is tribal country
and we've arranged for you to meet some
of the tribal people in their homes. It
will be a wonderful opportunity to interact
with them and learn something about their
culture.
Day 05: Kanha National Park
Drive straight to Kanha National Park and
on arrival check-in the jungle resort. Here
too are forest tribal people in their natural
habitat. In the evening enjoy the tribal
folk dances and music around the born fire.
Day 06: Kanha National Park
Move out for the jungle gypsy safari deep
inside the national park. Those most easily
spotted are TIGER, Indian hare, Indian wild
dog, the Stripped Palm Squirrel, Common
langur, Jackal, Wild Pig, Chital or Spotless
deer, Barasingha or Swamp deer, Sambar and
black Buck. After lunch move out once again
for the jungle gypsy safari. In the evening
walk around the nearby tribal villages.
Family members will be happy to interpret
and explain the folklore and tradition of
the State they once ruled. They will also
introduce you to a performance of the traditional
music and dance of the region.
Day 07: Mandla Drive
straight to Mandla and on arrival check-in
your hotel. You will be taken to the spread
out villages. We'll visit a 'haat' (weekly
market) where you can enjoy a slice of local
life. Also visit the old Mandla fort (Fort
of a Tribal King). After lunch at the hotel,
explore the town, or relax and do your own
thing.
Day 08: Jabalpur Drive
straight to Jabalpur-the marble city and
on arrival we shall visit the Madan Mahal
Fort (Fort of the Tribal King) the Bheraghat
(the marble rocks at Bheraghat rise to a
hundred feet on either side of the river
Narmada). Take the romantic boat ride over
the river Narmada (a wonderful experience).
We've planned a leisurely picnic lunch at
the popular Dhooandhar Falls. Just relax
- enjoy the falls and the lush vegetation.
In the evening you will be transferred to
the railway station to board the train for
Indore. Overnight train journey.
Day 09: Indore-Mandu
On arrival at Indore, you will be picked
up and then drive straight to Dhar -the
former Princely State. On arrival you will
be checking in the Palace of Dhar for your
night stay. Rest of the day to relax in
the tranquil environment.
Day 10: Jhabua Drive
straight to Jhabua en-rote visit Mandu.
(Situated on the height of 2000 ft. Mandu
was originally the fort capital of the Parmar
rulers of Malwa. Visit the various fort
complex of this wonderful place. While driving
from Mandu to Jhabua you will come across
many tribal areas, you can stop for a while
to take pictures. On arrival at Jhabua check-in

Day 11: Jhabua You will
be taken to the homes of the innocent tribal
people where you can interact with them
and experience their way of living.
Day 12: Indore Drive
straight to Indore. On arrival check-in
your hotel. In the evening move in the old
markets of Indore and enjoy some unique
delicacies of Indore available at Rajwada
market.
Day 13: Departure The
day at your discretion. At an appropriate
time you will be transferred to the railway
station/airport to board the train/flight
for your onward journey. The tour ends.
