Destination: Delhi / Istanbul / Kusadasi / Ephesus / Izmir / Istanbul / Delhi DAY 01: Delhi/Istanbul Arrival Istanbul. Istanbul deserves to be among the first choices for anyone considering a short city break. Few European cities have anywhere near as much to offer. With three and a half thousand years of history there's no shortage of attractions and, as the only city on earth that straddles two continents, a visit to Istanbul is truly a unique experience. Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Check in to the hotel. Later in the evening, Bosphorus cruise along the Bosphorus, the winding water strait separating Europe and Asia. Overnight at hotel. DAY 02: Istanbul Morning after breakfast, transfer to Suleymaniye Mosque, built in the 16th century by Sinan, the famous Ottoman architect of all times, the Byzantine Hippodrome, and Blue Mosque, which has six minarets and a middle dome of 109 feet. Finally the Grand Covered Bazaar, which covers over 4,000 shops under one roof. Day free for leisure on your own till late afternoon when you will be transferred to the station for overnight train to Ankara. DAY 03: Ankara/Cappadocia Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Ankara. Arrival Ankara, the capital of Turkey. Visit Anatolian Civilisations Museum and the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey. After lunch at a local restaurant in Ankara, destination is the mysterious Cappadocia. It's name was probably derived from Katpatuka, land of the beautiful horses, in Hittite language. Cappadocia is generally regarded as the plains and the mountainous region of eastern central Anatolia around the upper and middle reaches of the river Kizilirmak (Red River). It was here that several ancient highways crossed and different cultures came into contact with each other. Check in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel. DAY 04: Cappadocia Morning after breakfast, move out for capadocia sightseeing. First visit to Kaymakli Underground City; carved out of rock and completely self contained. More than 200 people lived on each of seven floors. Next will be the natural citadel of Uchisar. Lunch at a typical restaurant and visit Goreme Open-Air Museum, which is full of pink, rose and white tapering columns. The caves were settled in the 4th century as monasteries. Tour will end with visits to Pasabag Valley and Avonos Village. Back to the hotel Dinner and overnight at hotel. DAY 05: Cappadocia/Konya/Pamukkale Morning after breakfast, checkout from the hotel and transfer to Konya. En route visit 13th century Sultanhani Caravanserai built on the famous silk route. In Konya the Mausoleum of Mevlana, the worldwide famous mystic and Karatay Theological School are visited. Continue to Pamukkale, the cotton fortress. Hot mineral waters burst from the earth and cascade over cliffs forming pools and stalactites. Check in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel. DAY 06: Pamukkale/ Aphrodisias/ Kusadasi Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and Stroll through the ruins of ancient Roman City Hierapolis and transfer to Kusadasi. En route lunch at a local restaurant and visit Aphrodisias, an ancient city dedicated to the goddess of love, Aphrodite, and famous for its sculpture school. Check in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi. DAY 07: Kusadasi/Ephesus/Izmir Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and depart for the House of Virgin Mary. Continue to Ephesus, Roman capital of Asia Minor. Visit the ruins of Odeon, Hercules Gate, the temple of Hadrian, the magnificent library, Agora and the fantastic Greco-Roman theatre. Dinner and overnight at hotel. DAY 08: Izmir Morning after breakfast. Whole day free on your own for leisure. Dinner and Overnight at hotel. DAY 09: Izmir/Istanbul/Delhi Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel. You can keep your luggage on the reception and day free till you will be transferred to the airport to board flight way back home.
